This piece was a demo I created for Rhythm Fluids 2 and I have to say it was a complete blast. The beginning of the song was a ton of fun to write because I got to play around with this amazing rhythm engine that just completely set the tone for the piece. I wanted to create something that sounded ominous but continued to build. I find that a number of my pieces tend to stagnate after a short period of time and I wanted to keep this one interesting all the way through. I'm very satisfied with how the intro builds and how it is continually interesting.

The second half of the song definitely doesn't change around a whole lot. I got a bit caught up in how much fun I was having writing the piece and forgot to add various elements and keep things changing and/or interesting. I'm certainly not upset with what I ended up creating (in fact I love it!) but I still think there's room for improvement. I'd like to focus on creating something powerful but continually surprising/interesting.
