Often, these days, computer techniques set the standard for how a song is produced. Too many musicians are slaves to the copy/paste and click-track formula. This is where The Freudian Slip have chosen another path. The strict rules, that was applied for "Fashion/Technology", meant everything had to be recorded live and in one take, and no track in any way could incorporate any other elements than 1 guitar, 1 drum set and 1 vocal track. The production of the album was moved from the recording studio to the rehearsal room.This way of recording an album shifts the focus to the skills of the musicians. To make The Freudian Slip signature guitar sound, Noah Rosanes had to invent his very own guitar pedal -- The Freudian Splitter...
