Meshing loops and samples of rock and pop music…THEFRESH dip well written lyrics into a tasty pool of sticky sweet hooks and choruses thus creating great Hip Hop music.
Whether it is rock based chords, sequenced sample loops, or original word play, THEFRESH is just that, fresh. Never following the same formula for creating music, Mic Masters and Shot J come together from different walks of life to create soulful, hard-hitting undeniable music.
Since 2005 Mic and Shot have been involved in the Atlanta Hip-Hop scene while building a name for themselves as "fresh" artists and performers. It might be a name that is saturated in Hip-Hop communities around the globe, but THEFRESH are far from stale. Writing and producing all of their own material, this dynamic duo has created a unique approach to keeping their individuality. Embracing this idea allows them to explore different genres of music, art, fashion, and technology.
