Birmingham, AL based band The Distortions was formed in 1965 by guitatist/vocalist Neb Bibb, drummer Bobby Marlin, and bassist Robert Alexander when they backed Travis Wammack. A year later, they added keyboardist Zack Zackery and rhythm guitarist Eddie Rice. Their first nationally released single, "Behind My Wall", was on Smash Records. "A Love That Loves You", a moody rock ballad, is its B-side.
