Country music duo Branch & Dean released their second single entitled, "The Dash", to radio and digital retailers nationwide on April 29, 2013.

The ballad, written by Marlon Dean Scallan, Steve Branch, and Michael Penn Huffman (best known for Conway Twitty's "Tight Fittin' Jeans"), is a tribute to Steve Branch's only son Theron Steven William Branch who passed away on March 15, 2013, following a long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis.

On June 26, 2013, Branch & Dean officially forged a groundbreaking partnership with the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

By mid July 2013, within the first nine weeks of the single release, "The Dash" for SSM Nashville Records is already inside the Top 30 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart.
