It's been a strange trip so far.

In fall 2006, a few friends looked around and realized that the local punk and oi scene wasn't just dying but on life support. Hardcore was the dominant music in Northeast PA and while it was great, there was something missing. After putting together a rag-tag group of mostly first-time musicians, most lost interest in a a struggling band with no name and no sense of real direction.

Fast forward to spring 2007. A seemingly failed experiment got another breath of life. Combining original members Big Jay Skin and Eric Pinhat on vocals and drums (respectively) with Irish Kev (vocals) and Mikey OJ (guitar) of Bringing Back the Glory and Mike JRYB (bass) of Hot Shots fame, the pieces started falling into place. Before any of us realized it we had a demo, shows and a new sound. This line-up played throughout eastern PA until February 2008 when personal conflicts resulted in Eric Pinhat leaving the band.

Soon after, a second guitarist and a new drummer were brought in: Union Bob (also of Bringing Back the Glory) and Dj Dustin (of Murf and the Maggots). New songs were written and others scrapped and this line-up was active until fall 2008 when Dustin left the band to persue other interests.

Another drummer gone. Another drummer found. Chris Radical of the aptly named band, Dead Radical, soon joined the fray and the band has not stopped since. Once again, new songs were written and some old songs were retired. Most of the new songs reflected the maturing of the band and the addition of fresh faces. Faster, louder and angrier is the best way to describe the new feeling in the band and in the music. In early 2009, The Cutters recorded a new demo and re-recorded some of the classics. Stanley and the newly formed label What This Means Records offered The Cutters an opportunity to release their first 7" album. That album is set to be released sometime in 2009.

Over the past 2 or so years, the band has had the opportunity to play with many stellar bands, many of which influenced the music they play. Among those bands were Agnostic Front, Murphy's Law, Sham 69, Oxblood, Wisdom In Chains, Strength For a Reason, No Redeeming Social Value, Hub City Stompers, Flatfoot 56, Hard Response, Razorblade Handgrenade, Billy Club sandwich, Stout, Death Threat, and so on.

Huge thanks to everyone who has supported us in the past and those who will in the future.
