DESCRIPTION: "Barracuda" was the second record released on Mar-V-Lus by Alvin Cash & The Crawlers. The backing band was actually the Nightlighters from Louisville, not the Crawlers who'd been Cash's backing band in St. Louis. The group changed its name to Alvin Cash & The Registers after "Barracuda" went to No. 59 (No. 29 on the R&B chart) in 1965.
