the birth of this song, FRANCIS CABREL told me ( I did one week masterclass with him) he had in mind " Tonight the wife of the bullfighter will sleep on her two ears." for 2 years, and didn't know what to do with it. The corridas ( bullfighting ) are popular in spain, portugal, an south west of France, so he wanted to talk about this, but had to find out the good way. It will be the corrida seen by the bull himself....you have to know that to reward the talent of the torero ( bullfighter), the judges give one ear, two ears, the tail of the bull, when he have three of it, it's the top...so the phrase to the torero's wife makes sense.
