Waaayyyy before the immortal genius St. Sanders took Youtube by storm with his incredible "Shred" videos (trashing classic rock icons with discordant cover versions) The Chicago Sound (as well as its offshoots The Pittsburgh Sound and The San Francisco Sound) were slaying audiences with a no-holds-barred approach to FULL CONTACT BATTLE ROYALE HARI-KARAOKE!!!!!!! What you have here is a document of the ninth live performance by the Sound from January 2003 as they triumphantly march through an incredible setlist including "Born to Run", "Welcome to the Jungle", "Tom Sawyer", "Don't Stop Believin'" and many more. Hundreds of beers are spilled, millions of mistakes are made and, by the end, the crowd is whipped into a frenzy by this savage performance. Features members of The Flying Luttenbachers, U.S. Maple, Lair of the Minotaur, Panicsville, 7000 Dying Rats, Velcro Lewis and other venerable experimental rock institutions. Comes in some shitty xeroxed cover and features a newly unearthed Hatewave rock video from 1998 as well as an ad for "American Free"!
