DESCRIPTION:
You don't see these everyday friends. A 60's custom color Tele, Lake Placid at that, with a maple neck. Original case and ash tray cover as well...This baby's got quite a story. You can literally still smell the honky tonk's it's been in when you open the case! She's been lovingly played, but not abused. Overall very good condition. The only kicker is that the original bridge pickup, which does work, will need a rewind. It's got a fairly strong output (registers over 7k) but there's just no low end. Most likely from moisture (sweat!) seeping into the winding and oxidizing over the years. As most of you know, rewinds are a fairly easy fix and can be very affordable as well. We had it quoted to be around $175 - $200. We have decided to let the next owner/player choose who does this work, being that there are so many pickup experts out there that do fantastic rewinds on valuable vintage pickups and each has their own unique sound. We feel that this will allow the guitar to best suit the next player's personal tastes. We can certainly help accommodate the process of getting the rewind done. In the meantime, we have installed a Lollar.

Other than that, this girl is ALL original and still has years and years of playing life left. We are very excited to have this and you won't find one offered at a better price. No $20k to $25K price tag here! This one is actually within reach for us mere mortals!!
