Teresa Teng (January 29, 1953 -- May 8, 1995) was a Taiwanese Chinese pop singer. She is regarded as one of Asia's greatest singers, famous for her romantic ballads. She died an untimely death at the age of 42 while on holiday in Chiangmai, Thailand, supposedly from an asthma attack.

Drunken Tango is one of Teresa Teng's more famous classic song, sung originally in mandarin. The music is by Chen Jinming. Here, it is given a dreamy interpretation and technically not a tango. The irregular rhythms also give a sense of unsteadiness.
