DESCRIPTION:
The American string quartet ETHEL performed Cross Avenue at Verkadefabriek Den Bosch NL, in the festival November Music on 7 November 2012. It was composed for them by Jeroen Strijbos and Rob van Rijswijk, who manipulated their sounds electronically to create a fascinating surround soundscape. I spoke to the cellist Dorothy Lawson directly after the performance.
