DESCRIPTION:
This is the full 18 minute clip of "True to You" from June 8th, 2007 at The Saloon, in San Francisco, CA. It features a great band including Coto Pincheira on keyboards, Pepe Jacobo on drums, and Burt Winn on Bass. This is The Andre DeVito Band at it's best, raw and feeling it straight from the heart!! We wanted to try something special for this gig and we brought in Coto, and Pepe from the latin jazz scene where they are very well respected and known in the SF Bay Area. We succeeded at mixing the different styles and fusing the music together and it was a great experience, especially since we had never played or performed together.
Coto really cuts loose and shows why he is one of the top players on the west coast, going deep into his soul pulling out the good stuff. His solo near the end of the song is insane and just takes you over the edge!! Pepe Jacobo also takes a brilliant solo and shows you his soul, along with Burton Winn who held down a solid groove and pumping rhythm, and then cut into a smokin solo that had the place rockin! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did getting a chance to play on it!!
