DIY Acoustic Panels: Room Acoustics How To - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 26, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
I took some photos while I was building my DIY home studio room acoustic panels with Roxul Safe n' Sound so I could put this video together. Roxul is one of the best products to use for do-it-yourself acoustic treatment projects because of it's absorption properties.

At the end of the video, I also share a trick I found to make the panels mountable onto a microphone stand. This is especially useful in home studio environments because you can rearrange the panel placement to accommodate recording needs in any given situation.

Note that if there is room, mounting the panels with a 3-4" air gap from the wall is said to improve the effectiveness. This could be accomplished by adding wood extensions on the top and bottom backside, or in each corner.

You can also find my tutorial on DIY Bass Traps here: https://youtu.be/41liBn-QNW4

On the bass trap video I have actual video footage of the building process. I made the acoustic panels after the bass traps. By that time I was ready to be DONE, so I decided to just take photos since the design is much more simple to build.

I hope I was able to help you out! If you found this useful, please check out my YouTube channel and my website ToddAudio.com.

Have a nice day!
