Nat King Cole was one of the most popular and greatest male singers of the 20th century. "That Sunday, That Summer," written by Joe Sherman and George David Weiss and released by Capitol Records, reached #12 on the Billboard charts in 1963 and was to be his final hit. He tragically passed away from lung cancer in 1965 at age 45. The recording was made on May 16, 1963 at the Capitol Recording Studio in Hollywood California. The personnel included Joseph Robert 'Bobby' Gibbons (guitar), Alton R. 'Al' Hendrickson (guitar), Alvino Rey (guitar), Joseph G. 'Joe' Comfort (bass), Irving Cottler (drums), Lawrence B. 'Larry' Bunker (percussion), Milton W. Raskin (piano), John T. 'Tommy' Johnson (tuba), Victor Arno (violin), Israel Baker (violin), Harold Dicterow (violin), Elliott Fisher (violin), David 'Dave' Frisina (violin), James Getzoff (violin), Paul C.
