After dropping his amazing debut album "Sex With The Machines" in 1997 on the Kanzleramt label, Anthony Rother followed up on Elektrolux with this Electro bomb featuring the dark title track, the futuristic "Destroy Him My Robots" and variations of Redlight District like "Dude On The Street" which was more of a remix and "Redlight Combat" which was a slower Electro track that builds up to a chaotic climax.

"Redlight District" was a fairly early Elektrolux release and only the third record released by Rother before his Psi49net label took off in 1998. Since that time Anthony Rother has gone on to be one of the best Electro artists in the world today, releasing Ambient, Electro and Experimental albums for the legendary FAX +49-69/450464 label that was run by Pete Namlook, and his own labels Datapunk, Stahl Industries, Nextdata, and Telekraft Recordings.

Anthony Rother's productions go back as far as 1988 when he was making Freestyle tracks with Bernd Cyba and Jörg Mrowietz as T.F.D. Crew, in the early 90's he produced Trance and Techno under the name Notsignal with Matthias Geist, and released a Techno record with Heiko Laux under the name of Sodiac in 1996. By 2000 he began collaborating with Max Durante making Electro as Netzwerk Europa, two years later he released a couple records with Larry "Exzakt" McCormick as the Electro duo Netzwerk Florida.

Rother has released a bunch of records with different monikers as well like the Synth-pop inspired Little Computer People, the Dark Ambient and Techno sounds of Psi Performer, his Electro and Techno as Telekraft, and his Family Lounge album of Techno tracks released in 2001 on Kanzleramt.
