Writers’ Workshop graduate Sandra Lim will read from The Wilderness, which was selected by Louise Gluck for the Barnard Women Poets Prize in 2013. Lim is the author of Loveliest Grotesque, winner of the 2006 Kore Press First Book Award, chosen by Marilyn Chin. Lim is an assistant professor of English at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and lives in Cambridge.

Writers’ Workshop graduate James Shea will read from his new book of poetry, The Lost Novel. Shea is the author of Star in the Eye, selected for the 2008 Fence Modern Poets Series and named as a Favorite Book of 2008 by the Chicago Sun-Times. His translations of Japanese poetry can be found in The Iowa Review, Circumference, and Gin'yu. He currently teaches at Hong Kong Baptist University.

IWP alumna Dorothy Tse will read from her collection of 13 short stories, Snow and Shadow. Dorothy Tse is at the forefront of a talented new generation of writers who are exploring issues of identity from the unique vantage point of Hong Kong. She is the founding editor of the literary magazine Fleurs des Lettres, and currently lives in Hong Kong and teaches at Hong Kong Baptist University.
