DESCRIPTION:
I got some new recording/sound equipment and this is my first effort at recording with it. My goal was to get a decent setup on a budget. Here's what I ended up with:

New Stuff:
- Alesis Multimix8 mixer
- Sennheiser e935 mic (please don't go off about dynamic vs condenser)
- DI box
- Audio-Technica ATH-M45 studio phones

Other Stuff I Use:
- Corel VideoStudio trial version (first time I've used it, new to video editing)
- Mixcraft sound mixing studio
- Martin DCX1E Acoustic, tuned a full step low with Ernie Ball Earthwood mediums

I was focused on getting decent sound recording and having some fun with video editing. Percussion is flat and boring but I could only focus on so many things at once. I had fun recording and video editing...that's what matters. Right guys? Right?
