Lexington KY, has brought to my ears, many great bands, Supafuzz, Black Cat Bone, Rufus Huff, & Taildragger, who are closely associated with Rufus Huff.

I've read that Taildragger has put out three albums, but I'll be damned if I can find the other two, but I do have this little gem, "Skeptictank," released in 2006. A butt kicking, hell raising, heavy, southern rock affair, "Skeptictank," sounds like many dirt, grease, & grit southern rock bands, but at the same time, sounds like none of them. Grinding guitars, a distinct lead vocalist, heavy & sometimes funky riffs, & songs, whose melodies stick to your ears like grease on a ball bearing, Taildragger hits you hard & true, from the first, to the last song on "Skeptictank!" This is honest music, the real deal, no pretenders here, these guys love hard driving, blue collar, heavy southern rock, the kind that was a staple in the 70's, but a rarity in the 2000's.

"Skeptictank," is one of my very favorite post 2000 albums of any genre, sincere & real, this is how southern rock should be done, but hardly is anymore. Yes, this is a relic of the past, but a glorious past, & I'll hitch a ride any day on this train!
