DESCRIPTION:
Omar Mims is a third generation Sacred Steel player who has just recently decided to actively pursue a career as a professional lap steel player outside of the confines of the church walls. Within the Sacred Steel community he has a reputation for being "ahead of his time." Omar enjoys playing a variety of styles and prides himself on being versatile.
This Video is a duet with an amazing singer /songwriter by the name of John Steila, aka "Fenn." Fenn has been very supportive in the Sacred steel style an understands the commonality between Folk/Bluegrass and Gospel music.

Look for both of these talented musicians playing gigs around Charlotte, N.C it will be an ear opening experience.
