For some years now, the saxophone has emerged as the instrument of choice for female musicians. It appeared that only few girls and young ladies would try their hand at the trombone or the trumpet.Susanne Riemer, who lives in Brühl near Cologne, is however one of these exceptional female trumpeters. She chose the trumpet early in life, at only eleven years of age.Susanne Riemer is a jazz trumpeter, singer and composer.She studied jazz trumpet and piano at the Folkwang-Hochschule in Essen and during that time took singing, composition, arrangement and classical trumpet lessons
