DESCRIPTION:
Using specially designed and custom made hemispherical speakers and a fleet of laptops, Sideband is an evolving ensemble that inspires composer, performers, and audience members to reevaluate the role of computers in music. Add in "Exploding Pianist" Kathleen Supove, known for her use of theatrical elements, vocal rants, performance art, staging, and eclecticism in classical playing, and you're in for a wild ride -- a true electronic music experience. Presented in collaboration with the Extension Division at Mannes College The New School for Music.
