Rowpieces - Paradigm Shift
After releasing his debut album on his own imprint Soulbros. Records back in 2012 Rowpieces now returns with a crackin' sophomore album on the ever expanding Fokuz Recordings.

Starting his career focussing on soulful drum & bass and having produced many releases for legendary labels such as V Records, Good Looking, Phuzion and ofcourse Fokuz Recordings, Paradigm Shift is a perfect manifestation of Rowpieces' influences and artistics views.

Paradigm Shift contains twelve tracks with that distinctive, soulful Rowpieces sound we love so much. Spread across various tempos featuring Pulsaar, P-Fine and Kryptomedic this album is shaping up to be his best work yet.


Rowpieces
"Row“ is the nickname of producer Robert Schmidbauer and “pieces“ means the variety of music he is listening to and producing. Describing his music is simple, no matter which style or genre – it is all driven by Soul, Funk and Jazz, and always sophisticated.

Rowpieces first encountered Hip Hop as a teenager and soon discovered Drum'n'Bass, House, Downtempo and Electronic music throughout the nineties. All those genres led him to the roots of Soul, Funk and Jazz, where he became a frenetic vinyl collector of many genres in Black Music and Electronic Music. He is now proudly adding some of his very own tunes to his extraordinary vinyl collection. As a dj he plays everything from his collection and his ideal party is playing all those genres.

Starting his career with soulful Drum'n'Bass and having produced many releases on legendary labels including; V Records, Good Looking, Phuzion, Fokuz, Creative Wax and Jazzsticks. Rowpieces also co-runs the labels Soul Bros. Records, Contenance Records and Soul Sis. Records, which release Drum'n'Bass, House and Downtempo music. As an A&R he is responsible for the sound and quality of the labels. Soul Bros. Records first release was in 2010, with many releases now the label has grown to be highly respected and well known in the Liquid Drum'n'Bass scene.

Random Movement
Ever since climbing onto the soulful drum and bass vibe over a decade ago, Random Movement, aka Mike Richards' production skills and DJ technique have pushed him to the forefront of state-side drum & bass—drawing in an audience both older and younger. His unique sound has been spread worldwide, with performances at major clubs and festivals across 4 continents.

With the release in 2009 of his album Lucky Guess, (out now on Innerground) and many collaborations with Mixmaster Doc, Marky & S.P.Y, Redeyes, Flaco and Ben Soundscape (of the Insiders), his tracks have turned many heads to his unique skillset in songwriting and production. R_m's soulful, smooth, deep and jazzy vibes have landed releases on Innerground, Liquid V, CIA, Integral, Bassbin, Creative Source, Spearhead, (and new collabs forthcoming with Ben Soundscape of Intrigue), Horizons, Wesbay International and more.
