SUFOSIA

E N G : Sufosia is a Croatian thrash metal band that was founded by Davor Garašić and Ozren Futivić in 2006. Later that year guitarist Vedran Hochberger and drummer Matko Staudacher joined the band. They've held the first concert in 2007 and since then Sufosia has played numerous gigs and festivals across Croatia and a few in neighbouring countries. In 2009 the first change in the band's lineup happened, when Tomislav Ivković from the famous Croatian heavy metal band Flamethrower took Vedran's place on the guitar. Soon afterwards Sufosia appeared in the TV show "Garaža" (eng:"garage") on Croatian national television (HRT) with a 5-song live performance. That summer Sufosia had played on the biggest metal festival in the region - the Slovenian MetalCamp. The band has also appeared in inteviews on several other TV and radio shows. In late 2007 the band came out with their first demo "Chaotic Dreams", and in March 2011 they finished recording their first full-length album "Inspiration Breakdown", which went noticed by the worldwide thrash metal scene. The album was recorded and produced in "TOP Studio" in Zagreb by Marko Josipović who joined the band later same year, after the departure of the bass player and founding member Ozren Futivić. Already a month later Sufosia performed in their new lineup on the final night of the Croatian Music Festival (HGF) as the winning finalist of metal subgenre selections. A few days before Christmas Eve 2011 Sufosia released a new single called "The Chistmas Prayer" and premiered their first video that depicts the life of homeless and forgotten individuals in Croatia's modern capitalist society. With their intense and technicaly virtous live performances Sufosia has established itself as one of the biggest bands on today's Croatian thrash metal scene.

C R O : Sufosia je hrvatski thrash metal bend. Osnovali su ga Davor Garašić i Ozren Futivić krajem 2006. godine. U prvoj postavi pridružuju im se Vedran Hochberger na gitari i Matko Staudacher na bubnjevima. Prvi koncert održali su početkom 2007. i otada je Sufosia svirala na stotinjak koncerata i festivala u Hrvatskoj i susjednim zemljama. 2009. dolazi do prve promjene u postavi, kada Tomislav Ivković iz poznate Koprivničke heavy metal četvorke Flamethrower zamjenjuje Vedrana na gitari. Ubrzo nakon njegovog dolaska Sufosia gostuje uživo u HRT-ovoj emisiji "Garaža", te na ljeto iste godine svira na najvećem metal festivalu u regiji - slovenskom Metalcamp-u. Gostovali su i u nekoliko TV i radio emisija na HRT-u, Z1, Radiju 101, Radio Studentu i drugim domaćim postajama. Krajem 2007. izdaju demo "Chaotic Dreams", a u Ožujku 2011. izlazi prvi full-length album "Inspiration Breakdown", snimljen u zagrebačkom "TOP Studiju". Album je prošao vrlo zapaženo na domaćoj i inozemnoj thrash metal sceni. 2011. godine, dugogodišnji basist Ozren Futivić napušta bend nakon čega na njegovo mjesto dolazi Marko Josipović, producent i snimatelj prvog albuma. Već mjesec dana kasnije Sufosia nastupa u finalu HGF-a kao pobjednik finalne metal večeri, a uoči Božića 2011. snimili su i spot za novi singl "The Christmas Prayer". Sufosia se intenzivnim i tehnički preciznim koncertnim nastupima etablirala kao jedan od jačih bendova na domaćoj thrash metal sceni.
