This is sunshine music. Substantial -- the Landover/Baltimore emcee best known for his extensive work with the legendary producer Nujabes -- recorded this following preventive surgery for cancer in 2011. Substantial has delivered his project dedicated to the work of one of his favorite artists, Jill Scott. The fittingly titled Jackin' Jill features the DMV spitter trading vocals with a select group of guests while reflecting on life, love, and his career. He began crafting the project while recovering from surgery and felt now was the perfect time to share it with the world. The timing is perfect, what with the warmer weather approaching and the relaxing vibes of Jackin' Jill.
