Mitch Gallagher shows off some new features in PreSonus Studio One 3.2 DAW software. Perhaps the biggest news is the addition of Mix Engine FX, a new plug-in paradigm that can modify or bypass and replace Studio One’s built-in mix engine. Mix Engine FX can process every channel routed through a bus, individually at the source and at their summing. Any bus can have its own Mix Engine FX added for limitless sonic shaping potential — add grit to the summed drum bus, but keep the acoustic guitar and vocals running through the pristine native mix engine and add other coloration to the electric guitars. There are many other updated features in Studio One 3.2, and it is a free update for all registered users.
