Red Wave To The Blocks

Red Wave To The Blocks are an alternative rock band from Belgrade. They were founded on late 2006. Line-up includes Aleksandar Stojković (guitar player, vocalist and principal songwriter), Raisa Petrović (bass player) and Boris Jerić (drums and percussion). Band is currently influenced by Led Zeppelin, Morphine, Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Velvet Revolver, Nine Inch Nails. They spent a better part of 2007 and first couple of months of 2008 recording and rehearsing. The result is a demo EP entitled "Lets Take A Trip Together" which the band released as a free download through their MySpace page. They made their live debut in May 2008 at the "Akademija" club in Belgrade and are an active live band ever since. After the summer festival season of '09 the band was approached by Insurrection Records - as the result, Red Wave To The Blocks entered Digimedia studio in Belgrade in October 2009 and started recording their first album. In mid- January they begun with mixing and post production with Milan Barković Bare in another studio (Bare Wired, Belgrade). Still in the making, the album is scheduled for release in September 2010.
