Lowlands低地，即是荷蘭與比利時區域性的代表名稱，這一代因地勢低漥，而聞名全球，尤其荷蘭的阿姆斯特丹更是以運河建設，形成獨特的都市景觀。來自比利時的吳馬丁(Martijn Vanbuel)定居台灣已經六年的時間，並榮獲金曲兩項大獎的肯定與殊榮，這一次，他決定將他的歐洲家鄉爵士文化，原汁原味，帶給台灣的聽眾。有別於美國爵士音樂，經過歐洲文化的洗禮與融合，優雅的詮釋方式，成為歐洲獨特的音樂語彙。
Steven Delannoye 與Sebastiaan Kaptein都是比利時與荷蘭當代的爵士音樂才子。並參與並巡迴各大音樂節演出，本次受到世界軌跡樂團音樂總監吳馬丁的邀請之下，必定將Lowlands(低地)區域獨特的爵士風情帶來台灣，除了既定的鬱金香與風車印象，另一種「新」聲音，也必定帶來一個全新的文化洗禮！

Lowlands Trio is a group brought together by jazz musician Belgian Martijn Vanbuel, a Taiwan resident for more the 5 years. For this occasion Martijn has invited saxophonist Steven Delannoye, who he knows since his days at the conservatory in Belgium, and Dutch drummer Sebastiaan Kaptein, who now lives in Okinawa, Japan.
The Flemish part of Belgium and The Netherlands are traditionally nicknamed "Lowlands", which is where the idea and the name of this trio come from. Although now all living far away from each other, these 3 gentlemen will use their common Lowlands ground of European Jazz to start off on their musical journey. They will play mainly their own compositions and interpretations of standards.
