Steven Bryant's "Radiant Joy" was created as a work of purity and sincerity, having come after a difficult point in the composer's life. Its energetic rhythmic drive and harmonic materials give it the feel of a funk/jazz piece. "Radiant Joy" also won the 2007 National Band Association's "William Revelli" Award.
