Jazz Bassist Jonah Jonathan sits down with Jazz Piano Legend Steve Kuhn. Steve Kuhn is the quintessential post-bop pianist who has worked with some of the greatest musicians of all time. He started studying piano with Madam Chaloff at 5 before freelancing and playing for Serge Chaloff at 14.Steve graduated from Harvard and shortly after attended the legendary Lenox School Of Jazz where he was fortunate enough to meet cats like Ornette Coleman, Don Cherry, Gary McFarland, and many others. Steve began working with Kenny Dorham and Stan Getz before becoming the first pianist in John Coltrane's Quartet.During the 60's the other cats he worked with include the late great Scott Lafaro, Roy Haynes, Pete LaRoca, Art Farmer, Ron Carter, Oliver Nelson and many many others! Steve is truly a jazz legend who shares his precious memories on Scott Lafaro and John Coltrane to Jonah Jonathan during the 2013 Montreal International Jazz Festival.
