Responsibilities for our street promotion staffs are:

To make sure potential consumers are aware of new music, by passing out promos at concerts, nightclubs, and any social events and retail stores.



Making sure that club disc jockeys and radio disc jockeys have the most recent music to play from an artist including wax (Vinyls), CDs



Also making sure that the DJs fill out a mandatory feedback sheet on the new music, Which states the crowds response when the record is being played, and how many or if any requests were made for the record. This is very helpful for record companies, to gain insight for the artist, and their impact in this particular market.



Take Promotional material to retail stores such as stickers, posters, and complete Bios and Promo kits on the artist.



It is very important that retail stores know about these new artist, and can provide information to consumers upon request, because so often consumers tell us they walk into a record store to buy a certain album or single and retailers have no idea who this artist is, and this hurts the artist and eventually the record company, and heres where companies like SOL Promotion come into break the communication gap between consumers and retailers.

Responsibilities for Consultation

*To assist with getting media coverage for Artist/Label (more visualization)

*Create situations to have the Artist heard on a more consistent basis and playing a solid role in aligning all chances of exposure (mixtapes, outside features)

*Assist in formal paperwork to get radio formalities straight, upon the need for it (Media Base, BDS)

*Arrange for the Artist to journey to locations or scenes that can enhance his relationship campaign (show performances, conferences, Meet and Greets)

*Line up access to djs and promoters that can increase Artist/Label chances of moving progressively with desired plans. Also being a strong "go between" for the Artist and DJs

*Consultant offers project coordinating (lining up studio, production, song concepts)

*Artist/Label will be able to address all questions to Consultant and receive totally legitimate and professionally opinionated answers.

*Consultant will keep a written report on the total progress and positioning of the project, throughout the entire three months. This report is available to Artist at all times.

*Provide a legitimate and aggressive promotional push on the project. The scope is to break the project/record by (all possible means) within the obvious boundaries of this Agreement. Street teamwork is not part of this agreement, however a plan of action for such route will be provided to Artist/Label by the Consultant so that the Artist/Label can decide on that approach.

*Label/Artist is responsible for all product/promo items that are required to successfully execute this plan



Responsibilities for Management

A personal manager is an artist's personal representative. The job of the personal manager consists of anything that will help enhance or further an artist's career. These responsibilities range from comprehensive, long-range career planning and complex contract negotiation to suggesting a lyric change or commenting on a new recording. A good word to describe a personal manager would be juggler. The personal manager is a planner, adviser, organizer, strategist, overseer, psychologist, manipulator, coordinator, detailer, traveling companion and friend. The exact duties of a personal manager are directly dependent on the needs of the artist.

Managing is balancing the artistic and commercial. A personal manager is NOT the following: an employment agency, a record promoter, or music publisher. Although they assist the artist in finding an agent and landing a record deal, they are not expected to find work for the artist themselves.

Typically, a personal manager is on-call 24 hours a day. They are aware of the artist's professional life, as well as their personal life to some extent.
