This remix of “I Threw Your Heart” comes from Stefano Ghittoni and Marco Rigamonti out of Milan, Italy. I got turned on to Stefano’s legendary trip-hop group “The Dining Rooms” a few years ago by my friend Don Freeman, who worked with them on their 2005 “Experiments In Ambient Soul” project on Schema Records, a hip sub-label of Ishtar Records. I was immediately impressed not only by Stefano’s music, but the haunting videos he was creating not only for "The Dining Rooms" but also for collaborative projects with other artists, like existentially soulful UK singer-songwriter Jake Reid. Stefano brought in the renowned remixer Marco Rigamonti to work with him on the remix, and afterwards contributed a very cool video for the track based on the classic silent film “Gypsy Blood.”
