DESCRIPTION:
After a brief hiatus London based Moscow records returns with its seventh release from label head Archie Hamilton and Cavo Paradiso resident Stathis Lazarides.

Whilst the imprint's output has slowed down over the last 6 months work behind the scenes certainly hasn't. Archie and label partner Alex have been putting together a fruitful release schedule for the coming months that bears several names from a crop of up-and-coming producers as well as more seasoned house/techno talents.

For the label's re-introduction Hamilton, fresh off the back of an impressive debut on Fear Of Flying, teams fellow Rhythmatic resident, Stathis Lazarides, for a 3 track EP that showcases the duo's penchant for forward thinking house inspired by likes of Thomas Melchior and arpiar.

'Numbmania' sets the tone for the EP -- brooding, sparse, dubby house music. Centred around the hypnotic swung grooves of the rhythm track, eerie synths and texture-rich fills allow for spacey interludes but never let the groove be overshadowed.

'Manly' follows in suit with creeking percussion and cavernous processing, more weighty that the title track it chugs along over its 9 minute course never losing sight of its purpose.

'Monophonie' rounds off the package with incessant percussion and microhouse nuances that make for a perfect transition tool. A fitting close to a well thought out EP.

A welcome return for Moscow Records and a display of class from Hamilton & Lazarides, MOSCOW007 is out late summer, 2012.
