EDIT: Something I forgot to mention in the video: even with an ASIO driver, you can only get the latency so low before you start to get audio glitches (known as "buffer underruns"), which sound like pops and crackles. These happen because the computer isn't fast enough to properly process the audio.

An audio interface is better-suited to handling low latency than a standard computer sound card (even with ASIO4ALL), so if you're struggling to achieve 10ms on your computer, an audio interface would be a worthwhile purchase.
