Springintgut is the solo project of Cellist and Drummer Andreas Otto since 2001, producing non-minimal Electronica. Three solo records are out there on Vinyl CD and MP3

Springintgut plays live concerts to silent movies. "Metropolis" (Fritz Lang, 1927), "STREIK" (Sergej Eisenstein, 1925) and "Der Letzte Mann" (Friedrich Murnau, 1924), sometimes supported by Jan Drees on guitars, Synth and Chapman Stick.

Springintgut builds interactive Sound Installations, like a punching bag which turns the noise in a room down when you hit it. Or game controllers with which you can play sound, no images.

Springintgut extends his cello with a movement sensor on the cello bow. The electronic treatment of live-sampled cello sounds starts when the bow moves in the air. It's called "FELLO" and the development has been supported by STEIM in Amsterdam.

Springintgut plays Club Gigs with Hamburg's slow motion soundsystem "SUTSCHE" who play Techno Vinyl on 33 rpm. The show is called "SUTSCHE & FELLO"

Springintgut has composed several film soundtracks and (dance) theatre music.

Springintgut sometimes plays the "natural" Cello for F.S. Blumm, Coloma, Guido Moebius, Minor Mountaineer, .

Springintgut co-runs the Pingipung label for Electronica, together with three friends, based in Hamburg, Germany

The name Springintgut is a streetname in the town of Lueneburg and at the same time a blend of the German fairytale characters "Springinsfeld" and "Tunichtgut".

" Vor Zeiten nennt man mich den dollen Springinsfeld /

Da ich noch jung und frisch mich dummelt in der Welt.

Zuwerden reich und gros / durch Krieg und Krieges-Waffen /

Oder wann das nit glückt / soldatisch einzuschlaffen; "

For those who don't happen to be familiar with this: just focus on the spring - part of the name ! That's about it.

"Der letzte Mann" Snippet (1/7) of a live concert to the silent movie by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau (1924). We use a Grammophone from 1924, Cello, Guitar, and Samplers
