Sprickets

A Spricket is a big, scary bug that lives in basements around the midwest.



The Sprickets are an indie-pop band who listens to a lot of 60's pop and soul music.



On rhythm guitar and bass are Dan Shattuck and Mike Carey. They have played in bands together since they were thirteen years old. Jory Mathews comes from a hardcore punk background with the group Aberration. They all sing.



As the Sprickets they've played all around Bloomington and a few other lucky places in and around Indiana, playing with, among others, Trio in Stereo, Catfish Haven, The Future, and Kentucky Nightmare.



The Sprickets recorded a three-song demo with John Dawson of White Ark studio and another at Jordan-from-The-Future's house and another at the IU Recording Studio with Erin Boyd. They've just finished their first 6-song EP recorded at Echo Park with John Dawson. Another 5-song EP is on the way.
