DESCRIPTION:
On 9/19/11, Mikel Dimmik, Patrick Best and Troy Schafer of Spiral Joy Band performed at the Project Lodge in Madison WI.

"American, Zurich-based sound designer Jason Kahn and Milwaukee percussionist Jon Mueller (veteran of bands like Pele, Collections Of Colonies Of Bees, and Volcano Choir) create vast, statically charged drone clouds that cajole a lot of texture and space out of banks of electronics and drums. The pair's most recent release, 2010's Phase, is a single 39-minute long piece. Joining them here is Spiral Joy Band—featuring Patrick Best and Mikel Dimmick of psych-folk legend Pelt—and Troy Schafer, who'll also be showing some sound sculptures before the show, as well a solo performance from Andrew Fitzpatrick, guitarist for All Tiny Creatures."
