SOZ Concerts

SOZ Concerts has its origin early '90's. It started with booking activities for several bands in club- & festival circuit, soon followed by an integrated service booking and management. The growth of the company has been supported by succesfull bands like Van Dik Hout and The Prodigal Sons, who played both at Hollands biggest outdoorfestival Pinkpop, followed by Racoon (2002) and Peter Pan Speedrock (2003) after the turn of the century. Several bands from our roster have played the major festivals stages like Parkpop, Lowlands, Noorderslag, Paaspop and several Liberation Festivals, as well as international stages like Pukkelpop, Dour, SXSW and Rheinkultur.
Nowadays, SOZ Concerts is the managing- and booking agency for a growing number of bands in the guitar/rock genre. Bands like Peter Pan Speedrock, the Apers, Nuff Said and 16Down are playing the bigger Dutch festivals and clubs and have made their steps towards the European venues. All bands from our roster have a guitarbasis, with a variety and diversity in genre: from alternative music like Hallo Venray and Stuurbaard Bakkebaard to NL hiphop with Macro and psychobilly rock&roll with Mad Sin.
In 2003, we also started activities for DJ Rockid, an international turntable-giant and the creators of the ultimate partymix, DJ Fatboy & Slim. They hosted a crowd of over 10.000 people at Lowlands 2004, performing at the big Alpha-stage. In 2005, we’ve added promoter-activities for international bands in the Dutch territory and we have composed interactive workshops for schools and pop institutes. Finally, we produce several special programs like the Oscars (Soundtracks program), To Read & to Listen (combining music and literature) and Stuurbaard Bakkebaard (arrange soundtrack music). Contacts with international promotors, booking- and managementagencies have become part of the day-to-day business of SOZ Concerts. In this way we try to support the international career of our bands with shows and releases. SOZ Concerts also has an in-house Publishing Company, called "No Free Lunch". With NFL, we coöperate with Talpa Music to manage the publishing rights of several artists, also from artists which are currently not in our booking- and management roster.
Finally, we cooperate with several organizations and brands to create new dimensions in music experience; this may differ from sponsor- and endorsementsdeals, commercials to full concepts like Jack Daniel's Rock Nights.
