Sini

Sini is the driving force behind West London's music-based brand, Sounds Vain.



Founded in 2004, the West London trio Sounds Vain were originally a part of the SAS MODE collective, where they worked alongside UK Hip Hop group Infa Dead. Members Daps, Sini and Spins all contributed to the group's unique sound, a combination of London dance music and Hip Hop. Not your average grime act, Sounds Vain are all about their charisma, vanity and high self esteem. Before their entry into the Grime scene lyricists Daps and Sini first showcased their musical talent in the Drum and Bass scene (Sini as a DJ), collaborating with Skandal MC and the One Trak Mind crew. Spins began his musical career spinning his first discs to House and Garage. Despite the different musical influences, Sounds Vain made a smooth transition into the grime scene by developing their skills on live sets, then producing the goods in the studio by laying tight vocals onto Spins' skippy instrumentals. With a wide West London fan base the trio made their presence felt with their first full release 'Not In Vain' (free download here: http://bit.ly/cCHsMv ). Through their strong ties with UK Hip Hop acts such as Footsoldiers NTL and Infa Dead, as well as their strong affiliation with Qirv Music Group, lyricists Daps and Sini are able to demonstrate their versatility and broaden their lyrical spectrum. Spins, although very low key, has MCs queuing up to sample his infectious sound for their own projects. Sounds Vain are currently working on solo projects within the group; with Sini flying the SV flag and Daps primarily focused on his work with Hip Hop act Footsoldiers NTL. However the name still rings bells from West London to Europe - Sounds Vain!
