I Soul Takers hanno deciso, dopo dieci anni di attività, di sciogliere il gruppo.

Non ci sono ragioni che valga la pena citare per motivare tale scelta, né vale la pena perdere ulteriore tempo in commiati. Ogni storia ha semplicemente una fine e queste sono le ultime parole della nostra storia, almeno per ora.

Solo qualche altra riga per salutare e ringraziare tutti coloro che ci hanno seguito in questi anni, tutti coloro che hanno anche solo ascoltato una nostra canzone, e che hanno provato qualcosa.

Un saluto a tutte le band con cui abbiamo condiviso il palco, a tutte le persone con cui ci siamo trovati a lavorare e, in particolare, a tutti coloro che hanno suonato nei Soul Takers, sia che abbiano condiviso con noi poche ore della loro vita, sia che abbiano trascorso lunghi anni assieme a noi.

Infine un profondo ringraziamento a Dragonheart Records e ad Audioglobe per la fiducia che ha riposto in noi, fiducia che ci duole profondamente aver ricompensato così male.

Non rimane che lasciar spazio al silenzio.

The band was created in 1998 by Francesca and Federica Badalini (today they both are professional pianists) who found in Heavy Metal a natural evolution of Classical Music, far from the academic chains that today entrap it and turn it into an elitist genre. In Soul Takers songs piano is at the same time their peculiar mark and the link between their music and their classical influences.



After several line-up changes they recorded their first promo-cd "Through the silence of words" in 2002 at Mezzanima studios (Arcore, Milan).



After the come-back of the astonishing original singer Dino Brentali the band signed for Northwind records and recorded its first full length album "Tides" at New Sin Sudios with Luigi Stefanini in October 2004 (check out the audio samples ). "Tides" was released in the first months of 2005 with the bonus title-track video.



In 2006 the band left Northwind Records to sign for the wellknown italian label Dragonheart Records and in July Soul Takers recorded their new album "Flies in a Jar" at New Sin Studios. This album shows 11 tracks of decadent melodic metal and its release date is sheduled for the 22th of June 2007.
