Wires -
More about Wires
Wherever we may live, we share our environment with other creatures -- native animals which have had to adapt to human habitation. Unfortunately, some animals are injured or orphaned when they come into contact with our way of life. The increasing pressure of land clearance, domestic and feral animals, motor vehicles, and unnecessary human interference all take their toll. WIRES Blue Mountains has been saving native wildlife since 1987. Our network of local volunteers continues to serve the region from Lithgow to the Penrith Plains, 24hrs a day, 7 days a week... and all for free.

Music Theatre @ AIM

The Music Theatre course at AIM is committed to developing an understanding of the broader arena of music theatre. Students are skilled in the four disciplines of singing, dancing, acting and creating, making students what AIM calls in this business - The Quadruple Threat! Music Theatre students develop the ear of a musician, the body awareness of a dancer, the imagination of an actor, the vision of a director and the fortitude of a producer. The singer will come to embrace the music culture at AIM, whilst the dancer and the actor find their singing voice.

"Defying Gravity" is the signature song from the musical Wicked, composed by Stephen Schwartz, originally recorded by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth on November 10, 2003, and released on December 16, 2003. It is mostly a solo sung by the main character of the show, Elphaba (the Wicked Witch of the West), with two small duets at the beginning and in the middle of the song between Elphaba and her friend Glinda, and a chorus part in the end in which the citizens of Oz sing. It was performed on the BBC television programme I'd Do Anything, and as a result the song charted at no. 60 on the official UK Singles chart.
