Artist Biography: Taking its name from their lead singer... "SKINNER" was formed from the fallout of the now defunct American PowerThrash band "Imagika" in late 2010. Imagika released a total of 7 albums on multiple labels and toured in both the US as well as Europe. The band "SKINNER" was founded by 3 former Imagika members: Norman Skinner, Jim Pegram, & Robert Kolowitz.
After parting ways with Imagika in 2010, bassist Jim Pegram contacted Norman and suggested a new band be formed. Jim and Norman had just wrapped up an Imagika tour for the final Imagika release "Portrait of a Hanged Man" 4 months earlier. The next member to be added was Robert Kolowitz. Robert had been writing fresh material and was eager to keep the momentum going with a new project and had previously contacted Norman about a new project. Robert is a bay area Metal veteran performing in such bands as HellHound, Blackstorm & Rapid Fire before joining Imagika. His bands have shared the stage with bands such as Slayer, Testament & even Metallica. After hearing the new material Norman agreed to the new collaboration and they contacted local drummer Ramon Ochoa.
With the current line-up now in place 2013 saw many new live performances and lots of studio time as the band recorded their full-length effort "Sleepwalkers" due out Summer 2014. The band also worked alongside Director Mike Sloat (TestamentMachine Head) to film their 1st music video for the title track "Sleepwalkers". The video was released to fans world-wide on March 9th 2014.
Although "SKINNER" has only been in existence for a few years they have already established a solid reputation as one of the premier Metal acts in the San Francisco Bay Area.

About The Video: "Sleepwalkers", the new video from San Francisco Bay Area power-thrashers SKINNER, can be seen below. The clip was directed by Mike Sloat (TESTAMENT, MACHINE HEAD) and depicts a struggle between two consciences. The first is a dream world where the individual sleepwalks through life doing as they are told completely unaware of the reality around them. The second is the horrible reality that not everything is as it seems and life can be hard and scary. The individual eventually is able to break free of the mold and think for himself.
