DESCRIPTION:
Start the Art is a digital gallery space without walls curated by punk folklorist, educator, drummer, and writer David Ensminger. This volume features Sister Double Happiness -- the infamous San Francisco, CA post-hardcore roots and rock'n'roll band led by Gary Floyd of The Dicks and Black Kali Ma. The photographs were culled from the archives and photography of Ensminger and Ben DeSoto. The song featured is "Ashes" from the self-titled Sister Double Happiness four-song EP released on Dutch East India Trading in 1993. Permission to use the song was granted by Gary Floyd.
