Heavier than the Moon. But don't take our word for it: "Very interesting and unique band, who blend Trouble, Soundgarden and King Crimson vibes with soulful female vocals that have been compared to Grace Slick and Anne Wilson. A refreshingly original album and band." -The End Records www.TheEndRecords.com "Minneapolis quartet Sirens of Titan are probably one of the best female-fronted bands I’ve ever heard. A bluesy sort of sludge rock with the occasional syncopated twist or turn, the sound is groovy indeed, if a little strange. The musicians can clearly play, as the occasional jarring unison passage will remind you, but it’s nice to see folks stepping outside of verse-chorus-verse once in a while. “Dancing Methuselah” is an instantly memorable opener with its urgent spacey crunch and soaring vocal hooks. I like that the drummer is unafraid to funk things up, like on the roaring “Lothario” or vaguely Clutch-sounding “Hang Me Twice”. However, the guitars always pick some weird, vaguely dissonant progression or weird time change that puts this band in a more unique area. Singer Felicia Mitchell's got some serious pipes behind those anguished roars and quiet drawls. At times more hard rock than metal, but always heavy and covered in crunchy slime, the adventurous song structures help keep things interesting enough so that you don’t feel like you’ve heard this stuff before. The crazed, almost psychotic swing (and entertaining lyrics) of “Thetan Audit” will remind the listener they’re in unfamiliar territory, but in a good way." -Will Schwartz HellRide.com "Metalheads who think Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme was much better back when he was still in Kyuss will probably dig Sirens of Titan." -Ross Raihala, The Pioneer Press "Named after the 1959 novel by Kurt Vonnegut, Sirens of Titan slip a few other science-fiction references onto their self-titled debut album, most notably in the Scientology-tweaking 'Thetan Audit.' But their chief interest isn't sci-fi, but sludgy stoner metal in the vein of Sabbath and the Melvins, with guitarist Sam Rhode, drummer Conan Malady and bassist Matt Duffin brewing up a cauldron of noise that is well matched by vocalist Felicia Mitchell, whose tough-girl roar makes her sound like the kind of woman who might not start a bar fight, but could certainly finish it." -The Onion
