DESCRIPTION:
Sidiki Camara is a one of most world famous djembe player from Mali.He was more then 10 years first solist of Ballet national du Mali,played many years with Mamady Keita¨s group Sewa Kan ,touring,recording and performing like a percussionist almost with all Malien musicians like Boubacar Traore,Habib Koite,Djelimady Tounkara,Toumani Diabate etc.Now he is playing with contemporary jazz guitarist Bill Frisell and with his own group Sidiki Camara band.He organized every year drumming and dance workshop in Mali in cooperation with the members of Ballet national du Mali.We was learn a lot during those 4 weeks.This video was recorded at the end of his workshop in January 2010.He perform rhythm called Kolokodugu with his friends and members from Ballet national du Mali.
