November 12, 2015: Here's "The Lord is My Light." In F-key, some may prefer B-flat to A#. I play guitar notes, and it's easier to type the # than the flat. A few nights ago, I had a sleepless night because I was thinking about the injustices Uriah suffered. For three thousand years, people wrote and sang songs about David but nobody seemed to care about Uriah. Somewhere in Heaven, Uriah is sitting next to Jesus and celebrating his salvation, basking in God's glory and grace. I have just finished writing a song entitled "The Lord is my Light" as inspired by the story of Uriah. Since Uriah was a victim of war, the song has a strong anti-war flavor. (Some of you should know by now that I am anti-war.) It also paraphrases Nathan's parable of the rich man and the poor man.
