Philadelphia, PA- It has been some time, but Shortie No Mas is almost finished with her solo project. She has recorded some 20 songs so far and is working daily on completing this project. She is currently working with producers such as Da Beatminerz, 9th Wonder, DJ Jazzy Jeff and many others. When asked why she has found an unexplainable drive for this project as opposed to past attempts, Shortie states, Besides being in a secure position to fully focus on this project, I found fans who were still checking for an album from me. I felt that if they were still checking for it, (an album) this many years later I owe it to them. I also feel there is still a need for what I am trying to release to complement Hip Hop. Shortie is diligently working to finish this project and hopes to release it early summer. Once again, she thanks everyone who has expressed there support.



ABOUT SHORTIE:



Shorty No Mas, born Terressa Thompson was born in Boston Massachusetts. After relocating to Philadelphia she soon discovered her talent for rhyming. It was immediately following that, that she would lend that talent to hip hop greats such as De La Soul and The Roots.



While being featured on De La Souls third album she gained the opportunity to tour many parts of the world and gained invaluable knowledge of just what it takes to be on the road.



After a brief stint with De La Soul, Shorty acquired an offer from Chris Lighty/ Violator Records. Unfortunately, things did not work out as Shorty and her many fans would have hoped. Shorty continued to pursue a deal but faced many obstacles along the way.



Shorty has continued to hone her skills by releasing and participating in many projects and compilations. She has worked with such greats as Da Beatminerz, Rockwilder, DJ Premier, Jazzy Jeff and many others. With each release of work the response Shorty receives from critics and fans, reconstitutes the drive and responsibility to give her fans what theyve been asking for.
