Few share the name but only one possesses the actual talent, skill and respect to actually “EXCEL”.



Orignally from Philadelphia -DJ Excel, an almost 20 year veteran holds a reputation as one of the few “childhood prodigy’s” in the DJ industry. Deejaying before the technological advancements of laptops and serato, Excel embodies innate talent and inhibits encyclopedia knowledge in a wide range of music. His extended catalog is the blueprint to his ability to create, remix, cut and blend sets that are never duplicated. Excel’s work has been heard internationally with satellite radio spots and numerous highly notable mixtapes.



In 2000, Excel brought together some of the best DJ’s from the East Coast and established Skratch Makaniks: a group of turntablists that made names for themselves blending scratches and free forming beat juggling to their club sets and also over the airwaves; naturally making Skratch Makaniks a collective of the prototype of a DJ’s DJ.



DJ Excel lengthy client list includes Busta Rhymes, Nas, Musiq Soulchild, Gil Scott Heron, Sean Paul, Kid Capri, Jazzy Jeff, Tony Touch, A-trak and many more. Offering his talent to records as well, Excel has laid cuts on Jazzy Jeff’s “The Magnificent”, and Sat One’s “After Midnight”. Proving his diversity, Excel has performed for many corporate functions including those for: Mercedes Benz, Belvedere, NFL, T-Mobile and more.



Surpassing many with his intrinsic talent, Excel also provides original crafted sounds that have the world’s greatest crowd controllers spinning his notorious “EXCELARATOR” remixes in regular rotation on their own sets.



In 2009, Excel took the opportunity move to Los Angeles and works alongside Gomez Warren IV as “Audible Agent”. Whatever the alias or title, DJ Excel is one of the few who can play the dirtiest hip hop, the raving house sounds, the soul of funk, the dance of the 80’s and all the popular hits and not jeopardize the quality of the music.



Compelling a wide range of crowds and audiences, DJ Excel continues to fashion music his own way and produce sounds that will carry on to move seamlessly through various genres of music to the masses.
