Seymour Duncan Basslines Pickup vs Lane Poor (Legacy Pickup) Comparison - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 27, 2015
DESCRIPTION:
After many years of owning a Modulus Bass guitar, i decided to change out the pickup for a Lane Poor (legacy pickup). Crafted by an apprentice of Lane who used to make the original pickups for Modulus guitars before ceasing production many years ago. This video gives a little insight into the Legacy Pickup MM4 and the stock Seymour Duncan Basslines MM pickup that came with the bass originally. I myself am much happier with the new install, obviously the sounds are similar but there are subtle differences with both. The LP has the edge with a wider response to your playing style and being a much louder pickup. it bites more when you dig in and gives a clearer punchy sound that cuts through deeper than that of the SD pickup. I performed the installation myself, it wasn't really that difficult, just needed to be cautious when soldering not to damage any wires from the Aguilar OBP1 preamp. If there are any questions regarding the pickup itself or the installation process, then feel free to ask or comment below. I'm happy with it. GAV
