DESCRIPTION:
The Goth/Neoclassical Singer, Peter Imoje
Inspired By Gothic Music, This Vocalist has recorded songs ranging from Dark, Melancholic and Sorrowful sounds to Songs with a Dark and deep spiritual and heartfelt "Aura"
Born on the twelfth day of September in the early nineties into a Roman Catholic family, Peter Imoje has always been connected to music from Catholic and neoclassical origin.
Always connected to music since childhood, it's no surprise that the vocalist would be embedded in classical and deeply spiritual music.
Aside this fact, the singer seems to have a weird connection with Gothic themed songs, and other melancholic styles of long forgotten medieval origin. The singer mentions that this strange love for such styles /themes was inborn since childhood. He says he just never got attracted to normal or "Ordinary things (In This Case, Music). He says he always loved things "Out Of The Ordinary" There was always something deeper to connect to. He loved songs which connect with the darkness of the soul and takes you to a silent place,(Which could be in a different realm of the past or a different point in time.) Peter Imoje, "The Gothic Prince" (as some of his friends may call him,)deviates from the "Norm" of music and creates his own dark world of ethereal origin, something that connects with the mind, and the inner darkness of the soul.
The Roman Catholic hymns for the Dead is also no exception in Peter Imoje's Neoclassical Genre. Peter selects Roman Catholic songs ranging from Lenten hymns which express sorrow of the passion of our lord Jesus Christ to hymns for the Blessed Virgin Mary. The solemnity of Peter imoje's songs and hymns may be classified as "raw vocals" and to other listeners, "boring and slow" depending on the listener's taste this reason is due to the fact that Peter Imoje has not recorded songs in a studio using instrumentals. He mainly records most of his songs in his room, unaccompanied by instruments, or "studio engineering", just pure vocals with some touch of echo and little voice layering. This is why Peter imoje's voice recordings have a "Slow and Silent feel" to it. according to him, this feature also complements his dark themed songs (Which is quite understandable).

Having said all these, the Goth vocalist does not appear to eyes of those around him "As Depressing or Gothic/Dark" on the contrary. Peter Imoje appears to be the opposite of dark or depressing in person. According to the vocalist, he only appears that way when he wants to express his inner self... but he just doesn't feel it's necessary at certain times. He mainly expresses his darkness in his recordings; That's where you'll find the true innermost feelings of the vocalist.... because "music is much more than just the melody you hear" he says.
The Prince of Goth... isn't what he will call himself.
Peter Imoje would rather call himself a Slave of melancholy.
He depicts himself as the victim in most of his voice recordings...
he becomes the icon of pains, sorrows, or the weakened vessel of filth....
he blames death and embraces it... he becomes the victim of defeat and tries to fight it as well. He becomes captivated by grief and cries out to God for salvation... These themes and roles being played or expressed by the vocalist has a deep connection with the heart and his environment. The main reasons for this would not be disclosed by the vocalist, but the message could be interpreted in his recordings.
Peter Imoje's recordings are not meant for all ears or listeners as the style of his songs are completely different and quite alien as compared to modern music. this is not hard to figure out when you listen to his recordings. It takes someone with a similar trait or someone with a different state of mind to accept Peter Imoje's voice recordings.
Although, the singer has done covers of his favorite artistes ranging from Evanescence to Opera singers, to other rock stars. These singers inspired Peter Imoje in various ways, the band with the most influence was Evanescence. (Amy Lee)This is quite understandable considering Peter Imoje's style as well.

Another Genre that inspired Peter Imoje deeply was Classical Baroque Opera, with many composers like Mozart, Handel, Beethoven and other singers like Russian Soprano Anna Netrebko, American Male Soprano Michael Maniaci, Radu Marian, and so on...
The world of music emanates from the deepest darkest part of this singer's heart.....
it may be hard to fully understand this weird nature and love for the dead world and realm of this vocalist, but he is just who he is. in some way. it adds this unexplainable spark to music itself.
